Our History
UK Transcription was established in 2004 at the University of Bristol as an internal transcription service for university researchers. The service expanded steadily over the following years, growing to a team of over 100 transcribers. In 2007, the operation incorporated as a limited company and hired its first full-time project manager. The service has built its reputation on consistent accuracy and reliability across both academic and professional sectors, with several transcribers having worked with the company for over 20 years.
In 2008, UK Transcription established a commercial office in Brighton, which operated for the following decade. The company now operates with distributed staff across the UK, with all team members UK-based and employed under UK jurisdiction, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements and maintaining consistent quality standards.
